Alfred Gockel Biggest Wallpainting
In december 2007 the artists Alfred and Alexander Gockel have created one of the biggest paintings in Lower Rhine region. It goes up 5 floors of stairs and measures up to 210 squaremeters. The mural painting is titled "moral conduct" and was painted on the back wall of a staircase at the evangelical clinic center in Duisburg-Farn. It shows an oversized DNA double helix which can be found in all creatures on earth. In form and content it deals with three main topics: prehistory of life, evolution of mankind and path of life. In addition to this the paintings wants to reflect the workaday life at the clinic center with all it`s medical personnel and patients.
